EACH thanks the Massachusetts Cultural Council's (MCC) Festive Funding for enabling EACH to present vibrant Asian cultural performances at five community sites during the 2025 Spring Festival season: Quincy, Newton, Boston, Malden, and Arlington. From behind-the-scenes preparations to colorful stage shows, EACH's Arts and Culture Dance Troupe brought tradition to life through the Chopstick and Fan Dances, as well as other traditional arts. A total of 790 attendees, across all locations, joined in celebrating the Lunar New Year with joy and cultural pride.
In addition to advancing MCC's mission of supporting local arts, encouraging diversity and inclusion, and enhancing the quality of life in communities across Massachusetts, EACH provided free cultural programming for attendees. These performances not only entertained but also significantly deepened intercultural understanding across diverse neighborhoods, a testament to the community's rich cultural fabric and spirit of inclusivity.
EACH is proud to announce that our Diabetes Self-Management Education (DSME) program has received national recognition from the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for the period from August 19, 2024, to August 19, 2028. This recognition underscores our commitment to providing culturally sensitive diabetes education and practical resources. Our goal is to empower individuals in our community to effectively manage their health, reduce diabetes-related risks, and lead healthier, more fulfilling lives through ongoing support and guidance.
In March 2025, EACH began a new initiative to raise stroke awareness within Massachusetts' high-risk Asian populations. Funded by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and administered by Borderland Partners LLC, the project delivers education and outreach rooted in cultural relevance. The initiative empowers the Asian communities to take a proactive role in early recognition and prevention of stroke, thereby promoting their health and well-being.
The 2024 August Moon Festival, held on August 21 at the Southern Artery Senior Center in Quincy and organized by the Enhance Asian Community on Health (EACH), brought the vibrant spirit of the traditional Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival to the local community. A captivating dance performance from EACH's Arts and Culture Department highlighted the festival, which honors the harvest, family reunions, and the full moon. The dance troupe, dressed in traditional attire, showcased their cultural pride through graceful movements, delighting the audience and fostering cross-cultural immersion. This celebration embodied the festival’s themes of unity, prosperity, and appreciation of heritage, creating a festive and meaningful experience for all.

Is someone close to you having difficulties with controlling diabetes? This might involve keeping track of blood sugar levels, adhering to a specific diet, and sustaining a balanced lifestyle. If this is the case, we recognize the struggles you may be encountering and are available to provide assistance and access to resources to aid you on this path.
Led by the Arts and Culture Center of the Enhance Asian Community on Health (EACH), we are delighted to usher in the 2024 Lunar New Year with a series of Traditional Arts and Culture shows. Supported by the Mass Cultural Council Festivals & Projects grant, we aim to enhance activities that significantly contribute to the cultural vitality of our community. From January to February 2024, in collaboration with local organizations like 1000 Southern Artery Quincy, Arlington COA, Town of Arlington, Lexington COA, and Newton Housing Authority, EACH has successfully brought the essence of Asian culture to over 675 individuals across various community site locations.
Our goal extends beyond mere celebration; it embodies a commitment to promoting, preserving, and sharing Asian cultural history, thereby enriching our community's cultural fabric. These in-person cultural activities offered a unique opportunity for community members to engage with Asian culture personally, providing an experience otherwise inaccessible to many. Join us on this artistic journey as we continue to promote and engage in events that enhance our community's cultural life.
We are thrilled to announce a pivotal milestone in our commitment to enhancing health and wellness within our community, focusing on mitigating the language and cultural barriers to addressing chronic diseases, particularly within our Asian-speaking population. Ms. Hanna Chan and Sara Tan recently earned accreditation as Master Trainers for the National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP), significantly enhancing our capacity to combat chronic diseases. This designation is a testament to their unwavering dedication and expertise in the field of diabetes prevention, but it also paves the way for us to begin training more Asian-speaking DPP coaches.
By empowering Asian-speaking coaches, we are bridging a critical gap in health education and access, ensuring that wellness knowledge is more inclusive and accessible. Ms. Chan and Ms. Tan's leadership in training DPP coaches will enable us to extend our reach, providing tailored support and fostering healthy lifestyle changes among Asian communities at risk of developing diabetes.
